2026/2027

Under 3 Years

Our season begins the week of Tuesday, September 8th, 2026.

Excalibur offers a fun and safe environment where students of all ages are encouraged to grow, create, and reach their full potential!

45 minute classes for our youngest dancers, from 18 to 35 months of age. My Grown Up & Me offers a pre-introduction to dance, intended to ease your child into a more traditional classroom setting. Involvement requires a parent/guardian to play an integral role: Taking part in class, providing comfort and modelling participation for their little one. These lessons will introduce valuable skills such as listening, taking turns, and following directions, encouraging children to develop both individually and socially in a fun, creative environment.

BEGINNER (18-35 MONTHS OF AGE)

PRE-INTRODUCTION: These introductory classes provide a fun, supportive introduction to dance for children ages 18–35 months. A parent or guardian must accompany and supervise each child, actively participating in activities and encouraging their child’s involvement.

Important Information

Registration Information

Select a Register link to begin your online registration process.

  • Register: Select the Register link next to your preferred class to begin enrollment.

  • Waitlist: If a class has reached maximum enrollment, a Waitlist link will appear instead. Students on the waitlist receive first consideration if a space becomes available or a similar class is added to the schedule. Larger waitlists often help determine when additional classes are offered. There is no charge to join a waitlist.

  • No Registration Link: Some classes have special enrollment requirements, such as auditions, and cannot be registered for directly online. Registration links may also be unavailable during the final months of a semester when classes are no longer accepting new students.

Registration Confirmation & Payment

Submitting your online registration does not result in an immediate payment.

Within three (3) business days, you will receive an email confirmation outlining the total amount owing, including applicable taxes and discounts. The email will also identify the date on which your initial fees will be automatically processed using the payment information associated with your account.

When more than one class has the same name, numbers in brackets are used to distinguish individual class offerings.

For example, Junior Ballet (1) and Junior Ballet (2) are separate classes listed on the schedule. These numbers are used for identification only and have no effect on student placement or skill level.

The 2026/27 dance season is divided into two semesters:

  • First Semester: September 8 – December 12, 2026

  • Second Semester: January 4 – June 26, 2027

Unless otherwise indicated, classes continue throughout the full September-to-June season, provided minimum enrollment requirements are maintained.

Although the season runs from September 2026 through June 2027, registering for a class does not commit students to the entire ten-month period.

Tuition is paid monthly, and students may add classes, transfer between classes or withdraw from a class at any time.

IMPORTANT: Enrollment and associated billing continue through the end of the season unless the studio office is notified of a change or withdrawal. Students and families must contact office staff to make these arrangements.

Initial charges are posted to your account when registering. Subsequent tuition payments are due on the first day of each month.

Initial fees include:

  • The first month’s tuition, prorated when registration occurs partway through a month.

  • A one-time $50 registration fee per family.

  • Applicable costume fees, as outlined in the Costume Fee section.

Listed prices do not include GST, which is charged in addition to the stated fees. Discounts are available to families registering multiple students or enrolling in multiple classes.

How Tuition Is Calculated

Tuition is based on the duration of each class and the day of the week on which it takes place.

For example, Monday classes may have fewer scheduled lessons because of statutory holidays and long-weekend closures. Their tuition reflects this reduced number of lessons.

Likewise, a 45-minute class generally costs less than a 60-minute class because of the difference in instructional time.

Scheduled studio closures are considered when determining the tuition amount for each class.

Costume fees and recital participation vary depending on the class or program. Select the appropriate category below for details.

Standard Costume Fees

Applies to:
Acrodance • Ballet • Broadway • Contemporary • Hip Hop • Jazz • Lyrical • Modern • Tap

A costume rental fee of $50 + GST per student, per class is collected at registration for the full season. Students registering for the second semester are charged $25 per class.

Excalibur presents two recitals each season. Participating students are provided with one costume per class for each recital, at a rental cost of $25 per recital.

Costumes are supplied by the studio and must be returned following each performance. Rental fees help cover materials, construction, fittings, alterations, cleaning and distribution.

Adult & Health/Fitness Classes

Applies to:
Health & Fitness • Adult classes • Teen/Adult classes

There are no costume fees associated with Health & Fitness classes.

Adult and Teen/Adult classes do not normally participate in recital performances unless otherwise discussed with the studio.

Highland Dance Classes

Applies to:
Highland Dance

There are no upfront costume fees associated with Highland dance classes at the time of registration.

Troupe Classes

Applies to:
Troupe-level classes across applicable disciplines

Troupe classes do not require upfront costume fees at registration.

Additional costume arrangements, if applicable, should be confirmed directly with the studio.

My Grown Up & Me

Applies to:
My Grown Up & Me

Due to the unqiue format of these lessons, and considering the age of those involved, My Grown Up & Me classes are not well suited for participation in our annual recital performances.

No costume fees are charged for these classes.

Excalibur uses a fixed payment plan, also known as an equal payment plan, to calculate monthly tuition.

The total tuition for the September 2026 to June 2027 season is calculated after subtracting all scheduled studio closures. That amount is then divided equally over the ten-month season.

This approach means families pay a consistent monthly tuition amount, even though the number of lessons scheduled may differ between months.

All scheduled closures have already been accounted for in the calculation, reducing the overall average monthly tuition.

If you cannot find a class suited to your age, skill level or interests, please contact the studio.

If your preferred class is full, we encourage you to join its free waitlist.

Waitlist numbers help the studio evaluate demand, and additional classes or alternative options may be added when sufficient interest exists.
